Pertinent was created in 2020 by Dr. Bruno Jactel, former Chief Marketing Officer of Merial Animal Health and Frank Jusich, former President of Central Life Science with a vision that science and technology allied with nature could produce pest control solutions that would be as effective as traditional pesticides but safer, and as safe as “green” products but more effective.
With the help of world-class scientists and entomologists, they scientifically enhanced the natural insecticidal power of plants to create the most powerful combination of safety and efficacy. Following a rigorous product development process and independent testing, they are bringing to market the next generation of pest control products that are “tough on pests, but easy on the planet.”

Dr. Bruno Jactel, DVM, MBA: co-founder and CEO. Former Chief Marketing and Innovation Officer of Merial (ex) the maker of Frontline. Former Assistant Professor at the Vet School in Paris. 30 years of experience in animal health and consumer goods.
Frank Jusich: co-founder and Head of Commercial Operations. Former President of Central Life Sciences, a leader in pest control technologies. 35 years of experience in Animal Health and Pest Control.
Ron Hatton, MBA: Head of Operations. Co-founder of the Bayer Advance Lawn and Garden consumer products Chemical Engineer with 30 years in Supply Chain and Manufacturing for Fortune 500 companies.
Dr. Scot Huber, PhD: Head of R&D. 30 years’ experience in pest control formulations in both animal health and crop protection for leading life science companies. Ph.D. in Chemistry.
Ed Bredemeyer: Director of Pest Control Sales. More than 25 years of experience in sales, distribution, and manufacturing for companies like Bayer Crop Sciences and Central Life Sciences. Experience in sales and marketing for the specialty crop, structural pest control and turf and ornamental industries for 26 years. MS in Genetics from Texas A&M University.
